In the event you've been wondering where I have been, it's nothing overly serious at the moment, just a bad case of bronchitis. Apparently I was more run down than any of us realized and so... it just seems to be something that won't shake easily.

I was pretty sick for awhile, but now am just mostly doing the coughing thing that will NOT go away. After trying to hand quilt off and on for a couple weeks and just over-tiring myself, I finally just took a break from it all. So sorry for being MIA on the blog browsing and commenting etc. All I am doing at present is trying to fully recover and not drive everyone in the household stark raving made while doing it. Sitting around twiddling my thumbs, taking extra care with my health and being 'patient' {so as to regain some strength} is definitely not one of my stronger personality traits! Will probably still be off-line for another couple weeks so don't worry if this takes awhile or I don't return a message. And just for the record, this has been a lousy way to lose some of that weight that I've steadily been gaining for the past several years....

  1. So sorry you've been so ill. Thanks for checkin' in so we know you're still kicking. There's nothing worse than coughing all the time - it's exhausting. Glad for your weight loss so you got something to show for all your suffering. Rest and create mentally because you'll start feeling well soon and will have all kinds of energy. Don't worry about replying to this. . .

  5. So sorry you have been sick! I hope you have been to the doctor. My sister had been sick in December, then just coughing a lot in January and turned out she had a collapsed lung! Who woulda thought?! After using an inhaler and doing breathing exercises, she’s finally stopped the coughing. Hope you can rest and get better…Google won’t let me comment under my name…but this is Sally jspwarren @ aoldotcom…but no need to reply to my comment. . Just relax and think quilty thoughts!

  7. Oh, please do rest and take care of yourself. If I learned anything in 2022, it was to take care of yourself before you take care of others or there will be nothing left for anyone! Hugs for a speedy, but restful recovery!

  10. Our HEALTH is the most important part of living that most of us take for granted until there is a glitch, a bug, a failing of the mechanism. SO I say take all the time you need to recover and regain your strength and vitality, we will still be waiting to see what you are going to do next as your projects are always inspiring. God bless and be patient LOL yes that is the hardest part.

  12. DH had bronchitis that started shortly after Thanksgiving. He is just now back to his normal energy levels (or nearly anyway). The coughing was horrible - I hate that you've had to go through it, too. Please take care (no need to reply) and R-E-S-T (which as younger son assures me is quite difficult to do). Quiltdivajulie

  13. Audrey, so sorry to read that you're not well. Rest as much as you can, it seems to take forever when you're wanting to be back doing the things that you love. In case my message shows as anonymous it's MysticQuilter here - take care of yourself.

  14. So sorry you are on the struggle bus for getting completely over this. Coughing so much is exhausting, and it's OK to focus all your energy on yourself and getting better. Your blog is one of the few that I follow that has archived posts at the end of your current post, and I frequently visit one of the older posts after reading your latest. I will just enjoy those until you are well enough to get back to your usual posting schedule.

  16. I hope you are feeling better now and are on the mend. Take all the time you need to get better. Several bloggers have been talking about their quilty circles 365 lately. Bloglovin isn't working so my regular feed is on the fritz.

  18. UCK! Not feeling well enough to sew/quilt is definitely a sign of over-tired sickness. Hope you're feeling better by now.
