Where Did the Summer Go?
Summer is wrapping up for us with a whirlwind of activities. Feels like it barely got here and now we're looking at Fall headed our way in just a blink! Just a quick check in to say I'll be absent from the block for a couple weeks. There is entirely too much going on to make proper time for everything blog related.
I was trying to finish the hand quilting on Make Beautiful Things by the end of August, but it's not looking very likely. Lots of hand work to do here and there too so I definitely won't be bored. Catch you on the flip flop!

Enjoy your late summer activities!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your summer x
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all of it -- hope the occasional hand stitching helps settle your soul amongst all the busy-ness. The next 3 weeks are going to be a blur here, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm still hand quilting Bitty! And she is tiny. Enjoy the rest of your summer, August and September are such lovely months.

Your stitching is so nice and even. I think I make my "Big Stitch" stitches too big.
ReplyDeleteTime has a way of fleeting so quickly. Enjoy some "time". We'll catch up soon.
ReplyDeleteSummer is on it's way to us, although it's been cold & grey here (Melbourne) A long hot Summer is not my favourite season.
ReplyDeleteWhere did summer go indeed! Hope you get some fun stitching time in between the busy times in the next few weeks!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you're busy getting the graduate settled. A bittersweet time to watch them move out on their own. Or at least, not come home to us at night.
ReplyDeleteLove that Bullseye medallion quilt you have in progress. And I love to read about your process, as you know. I learn from your posts. Anyway, lamenting summer's end here too. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of Summer!!
ReplyDeleteThe smell of autumn is in the air here too. I hope the next few weeks allow for a bit of stitching, even if not for blogging.
