But then this quilt has to cause you a little angst just by the nature of what it represents. Hopefully the stress caused by the making of it won't be nearly as bad as the dreaded fire! I hate sticking myself on pins all the time. I've found that a few extra minutes basting (it's surprisingly fast) makes the applique go much better in the end. <br /><br />I love that blue fabric! Sometimes glue, sometimes pins, sometimes basting. But to be honest, there are other things that I do have my stubborn pants on about. It is alright for larger pieces of applique. I'm not fond of glue---I do needleturn (without paper) or I use the English paper method.
