If you think about it that is how quilting got started. I also find if I need new inspiration a fat quarter or two (especially when they are on sale!) go a long way to making a quilt made from stash new and exciting.cajunquilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13140703380605017403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5297789041481934828.post-66095418907993198522013-01-07T12:41:17.639-08:002013-01-07T12:41:17.639-08:00wow! audrey, you quilts are fabulous!wow! audrey, you quilts are fabulous!Carrie P.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10063988589711911820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5297789041481934828.post-86286115503312829192013-01-05T22:32:50.191-08:002013-01-05T22:32:50.191-08:00It's wonderful to see your 2012 round up. Your quilts look wonderful and are unique.....maybe we all should be using more from our stash and not buying fabric lines that in the end look too matchy - matchy. I am looking forward to seeing what you create in 2013.<br />Here's hoping that this year is a better year for you & your family.Jenny Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11021041535762298271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5297789041481934828.post-18178099219820318452013-01-04T12:14:21.168-08:002013-01-04T12:14:21.168-08:00Sorry about that. I love that spirit, because that's how quilts were created--making something from "nothing." If you haven't checked the thrift stores and garage sales yet, you'll be amazed at what you can find for just a few dollars. How in the world do you do it? (I did 5 in 2012, a new high for me, and there were days when I quilted all. day. long - and did nothing else, just to get them done.) Praying that you will be able to find some way to be able to continue to quilt, in spite of budget constraints. {{hug}}Kathy ... aka Nanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17626590048036292030noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5297789041481934828.post-50328949617709046572013-01-04T06:02:28.455-08:002013-01-04T06:02:28.455-08:00Your finished are all beautiful. I especially love how you add applique to the traditional blocks. It makes them fresh. You make old look new.
